bROTHERS iN BAND perform in “Alchemy dIRE sTRAITS Re-Live“ an ambitious and meticulous production that takes us to the great and unrepeatable live show that dIRE sTRAITS recorded at the Hammersmith Odeon in London on July 22 and 23, 1983, within the tour of “Love Over Gold“, his last studio album until then, with Mark Knopfler on vocals and lead guitar, John Illsley on bass, Hal Lindes on rhythm guitar, Mel Collins on sax, Alan Clark on piano and keyboards, Tommy Mandel also on keyboards and Terry Williams on drums, who together with Joope de Korte (on percussion and not visible on stage) formed a luxurious team full of strength, rhythm and expressiveness of the highest level.
Since its publication in March 1984, this double live album has become an essential in the history of Rock, being the celebration of its 35th anniversary the reason that led bROTHERS iN BAND to make it possible, reliving those historic nights and recreating the Alchemy with the same line up, set list, atmosphere, costumes, lighting and all the details that made this show something special, eternal and immortal.
Angelo Fumarola (Voice and Lead Guitar), Fernando Abenza (Electric Bass and background vocals), Antonio Abad (Rhythmic Guitar and background vocals), Sander Ulloa (Saxophone), Xabier Vaz (Piano and Keyboards), Ángel Fernández (Keyboards) and Miguel Queixas (Drums) make up the band that gives life to this Alchemy Re-Live and that has been only represented in Spain to date.
“Industrial Disease”, “Twisting by the Pool” and “Portobello Belle” were three songs that even being performed on those nights were not published on the now historic live album, but they are included in the repertoire of bROTHERS iN BAND of this show, which will therefore exceed 2 hours in duration, being the complete set list as follow:
